Choir excited about their first post-Covid concert
21/09/2021
The Chanterelles are a group of young ladies drawn together by their love of singing, under the direction of Dr Shirley Court.
Since 2009 they have impressed both audiences and adjudicators alike with their professional approach and clear enjoyment for the music they sing, with a diverse repertoire which spans genres and showcases the rich sounds they make.

Choir member Suzy Elliott said: "As a local resident, I am thrilled to be able to organise for the Chanterelles to come and perform in Gloucestershire and we’re really grateful to St David’s Church for hosting us.
"The last 18 months have been very difficult for anyone involved in live music. Zoom rehearsals and online performances are just not the same! So we are over the moon at this opportunity to be able to sing together in person and to share our music with others.
"The programme will last around an hour and will include some of our new repertoire, some of the old favourites and solo performances.
"It promises to be a thoroughly enjoyable evening and possibly a bit emotional for us as we finally return to doing what we really love."
