Brimscombe and Thrupp FC

The neighbouring Gloucestershire villages of Brimscombe and Thrupp, near Stroud, joined footballing forces in the late 1970s and are currently riding on the crest of a wave.

After earning promotion to the Hellenic Premier Division from Division One West in March 2013, Brimscombe and Thrupp, known as The Lilywhites, made their first-ever appearance in the FA Cup in 2014 when the entertained Windsor in the preliminary round at The Meadow on Saturday, August 30.

Brimscombe AFC were originally formed in 1886 - the same year as the Gloucestershire Football Association - and were the first-ever winners of the Stroud and District League in 1902.

Mike Green took over as the new manager of Brimscombe and Thrupp in the summer of 2014.
