Combe Mill, near Woodstock

A Grade II* Listed Building, Combe Mill is the original steam- and water-powered sawmill and workshop of the old Blenheim Palace Estate near Woodstock.

This working industrial museum offers visitors a good insight into what work was like in Victorian times on a rural estate.

The mill is operated as a working hands-on museum by the Combe Mill Society which is run entirely by unpaid volunteers, many of whom are retired engineers and craftsmen, so you will never find yourself lacking someone to talk to.

People come back to the mill time and again because there is always something different taking place or another object to be discovered, with plenty of hands-on activities to challenge and entertain all age groups.

The mill is open on Wednesdays and Sundays from the start of April until the end of September from 10.30am-4.30pm. Admission is £4 for adults, £3 for children/concessions with under-fives free.
