Chipping Norton Amateur Astronomy Group (CNAAG)

Founded in 2005 as an informal focus group for anyone interested in the stars and space, CNAAG has grown from just three members to well over 40 today and continues to rise steadily.

Nationally recognised, we are a highly active and enthusiastic society observing the universe whenever possible and promoting astronomy in schools, other organisations and public events both in the local area and further afield.

We always meet indoors on the third Monday of each month where a guest speaker provides an astronomical talk. Our members display an incredible range of skills and valuable experience and are only too willing to provide the best of help, advice and encouragement equally to beginners or experienced astronomers.

Our meetings are all held in a very informal, entertaining and informative manner and we invite everybody to come along. There are no requirements to own any equipment or possess any prior astronomical knowledge or experience (but if you have, bring it along). All we need is your interest and enthusiasm - the stars, planets and Universe will do the rest.
