The Theatre, Chipping Norton

Since it opened in 1975, The Theatre has flourished and gained particular recognition for its traditional Christmas pantomime which is a favourite of Chipping Norton's MP... Prime Minister David Cameron.
This fabulous building, which began life as a Salvation Army Citadel, was opened as a theatre in 1975 by Tom Baker, the Doctor Who of the time.

Since then The Theatre has grown and flourished, as the building has expanded, along with The Theatre's programme and reputation.

The Theatre has a strong reputation for producing its own creative work, which include perhaps its greatest claim to fame, the world-renowned traditional family pantomime.
