Tetbury Police Museum
Tetbury Police Museum is located, along with the town council offices, at the town's former Victorian police station and courthouse in Long Street. The museum is primarily dedicated to the history of the Gloucestershire Constabulary, which was founded in 1839, but it also houses the largest collection of handcuffs and restraints on public view in the United Kingdom. Cotswold Volunteers was launched in Cirencester in 1961 as a means of providing assistance with shopping and gardening for the elderly and frail who did not have any family locally. The service went from strength to strength and by 1972, two further services were introduced - a befriending service and a volunteer car scheme and the transport side of the charity was further augmented by a Dial-a-Ride service.
