Gloucestershire Young Farmers Clubs (YFCs)

Fifteen clubs make up the Gloucestershire Federation of Young Farmers Clubs, including a number from right across the Cotswolds.

With an age range from 10 to 26, YFCs are open to anyone in the county of age who has an interest in the countryside. The clubs are self-led organisations that vary greatly in their composition and character, but they are there to entertain and educate their members.

Typically this would be a calendar of social, educational, fundraising and competitive events operating at club, county, South West area and national level.

Young Farmers Clubs give their members an interesting and relevant programme of activities that stimulate, educate and entertain. They compete at almost anything, from traditional disciplines like public speaking and stock judging right through to the downright silly, like big bale pushing and welly wanging.

Across the Cotswolds, there are YFCs covering Cirencester (meetings at North Cerney); the Royal Agricultural College in Cirencester; Moreton-in-Marsh (meetings at Longborough); Painswick (meetings at Haresfield); Winchcombe; and Wotton & Dursley Vale (meetings at Frocester).
