The Cotswolds Conservation Board’s first-ever horse logging course last month was a sell-out and already bookings for the next course in October are being taken.
The Introduction to Horse Logging took place in February at Ullenwood, near Coberley, Gloucestershire, where the board has managed a woodland site since 2013.

Trainees learnt a range of skills including horse grooming, setting up the harness, how to command the horses and log dragging techniques.
Another Introduction to Horse Logging course at Ullenwood is planned for Saturday, October 3.
Cotswold Rural Skills offers a wide range of skills and crafts throughout the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Whether you want to try your hand at blacksmithing, rebuild a 200-year-old dry stone wall or have a go at the ancient art of thatching, one of the courses could be for you.
By working with local instructors, organisations, community groups and landowners, the board ensures that these courses are not only informative and practical but also make a noticeable and lasting contribution to the Cotswold landscape.
