Wiggington Waterfowl Sanctuary & Children's Farm

Summary:

The lifelong dream of Mabel Warner came into fruition in March 1989 when this 22-acre site near Wigginton Heath opened. It has since been home to a wide range of birds and animals, including emus, terrapins, ostrich and chipmunks.
The creation of Wigginton Waterfowl Sanctuary & Children's Farm is the realisation of the lifelong dream of Mabel Warner.
Following the purchase of the 22-acre site near Wigginton Heath in 1987, it took two years to put up timber buildings, huts and fencing as well as digging out ponds to turn the neglected wetland into the sanctuary.
Since opening in March 1989, many birds and animals have lived happily at the sanctuary, including geese, ducks, guinea pigs, goats, pigs, tropical birds, emus, terrapins, ostrich and chipmunks
