Stirring Christmas celebration in Lechlade

An evening of exceptional Christmas entertainment is taking place in Lechlade on Saturday, December 10.
‘Christmas Celebration’ is the title for this year’s seasonal occasion, which takes place in St Lawrence Church, Lechlade, from 7.30pm.

The Lechlade Players, John Wright, organ and piano, together with Delores, local singer, will combine to bring an enjoyable evening of stirring seasonal music, poetry and prose.
Among the treats on offer are: organ music from The Nutcracker, vintage songs to evoke nostalgia, poems and prose from Shakespeare, C. Day Lewis, John Betjeman, Robert Frost, Robert ‘Rabbie’ Burns, the Bard of Ayrshire, and Dylan Thomas, Swansea’s most famous son.
There will be pirates, chestnuts roasting, wassailing and festive songs.
St Lawrence Church Restoration and Maintenance Appeal committee members look forward to welcoming you to what promises to be an enjoyable festive evening.
